Essential Eight Compliance
Your insurer will ask. Your competitors' insurers are asking more.
The Essential Eight is the Australian government's list of eight technical changes that stop the large majority of known cyber attacks. It has become the standard that insurers, tenders and larger clients ask small businesses about — 'what's your Essential Eight level?'
We run a gap assessment against the current maturity model, close the gaps in priority order, and keep the evidence current for your insurer or auditor — in language you can actually read.
Assessment fee (credited to implementation); implementation quoted per gap, GST included.

The Australian Cyber Security Centre's eight technical changes — things like multi-factor authentication, patching, and backed-up recovery — organised in eight steps and rated in maturity levels. Applied properly, they stop the large majority of known cyber attacks. Most insurers and tenders now ask for a level.
Which level do we need?
Most insurers and tenders ask for Maturity Level 3. We assess where you are, tell you the gap to the level your insurer or tender requires, and quote the path in a fixed price.
How long does it take?
Most small businesses reach the level most insurers require in 4–8 weeks, in priority order — the biggest risks closed first.
What does it cost?
A fixed assessment fee, then a fixed implementation quote for the whole path, GST included. Ongoing maintenance is a flat monthly price.
